Here are some of the highlights of our curriculum this half term:

English: Our reading and writing will mostly be based on the book "The Day the Crayons Quit."

Other Key Information for Year 2
PE - Tuesday and Thursday
- Please come to school in school PE kit - shorts or tracksuit bottoms in cold weather, white polo shirt or t-shirt, a school jumper and trainers. Please make sure long hair is tied back and jewellery is not worn/ stud earrings taped up..
Reading at Home

Decodable books will be sent home (from w/c 21st September) on a Thursday, to be returned the following week on a Monday. Please read each night with your child - this could be a mix of both decodable books and reading for pleasure books. Please sign the children's reading log, which will be checked on a Monday and rewarded with house points.
What to Bring to School Each Day -
- Lunch box (unless your child is having a school packed lunch) and water bottle.
- They also need to bring their home reader and reading log every day.

If it is colder or raining, please make sure your child has a coat and a jumper with a name in. Also, make sure your child has wellies in school for OPAL play.
Library Day -

Every Monday. Please ensure books are being returned each week so your child can continue to borrow from the Library.
