PSHE Intent
At Gatcombe Park Primary school, we aim to develop children as high-quality citizens who demonstrate these characteristics:
- Resilience, self-esteem, risk-management, team working and critical thinking in the context of: health and wellbeing, relationships and living in the wider world.
- Knowledge, skills and attributes they need to manage life’s challenges.
- Knowledge and understanding of how to lead a safe and healthy lifestyle, whilst still being confident to take and manage risks.
- A strong sense of moral purpose and respect for others.
- Confidence in themselves and aspiration to aim high.
- Understanding how they are developing personally and socially, having confidence to tackle many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of the growing.
- Knowledge and understanding their rights and responsibilities, and appreciate what it means to be a member of a diverse society.
- Playing a positive role in contribution to school life and the wider community.
